I think we all know that life is extremely complex. People struggle with all sorts of issues, ranging from abortion to depression to end-of-life matters, and everything in between. These are moral issues, and the Bible speaks to all of these things.
Yet they are also very sensitive issues, and when we’re talking with people about them, we should be sensitive. Real people have had to make real choices. Sometimes they made those choices reluctantly, and sometimes they made those choices because they thought they were making the best possible choice that they could make at the time.
We should always treat people with dignity and respect. We should always be gentle in the way that we correct. And we should always offer hope, because we’ve all fallen short of the glory of God, and we are all offered grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
That’s why I’ve started a new blog, Babies Helping Babies. I’m looking at just one of these morally complex issues (abortion), with the goal that the site will bring clarity to many who have been confused regarding the issue, and also bring hope to those who have been carrying the guilt of an abortion with them for many years.
Please let me know what you think about the site. And please, when you talk with anyone about anything, “let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” (Colossians 4:6)
