Even though I’ve been a pastor for over a decade, I still feel like I’m a new pastor. I’ve been at my church since July 2009. And before that, I prepared to become a pastor for the ten years leading up to it through college, seminary, and being on staff at various churches along the way in various positions. But no amount of preparation can adequately equip a person for this calling. I greatly lean on all that I’ve learned from all of those things, but ultimately, I’m learning how to be a pastor by being a pastor.
